Re: Saturday's incident

I am so glad that you are well and recovering. I am also very glad that you weren't in the middle of a strenuous hike through a canyon when it happened!

Free Moyes Matrix Harness

It's old, but still works well! Keep the zipper properly lubricated. Made for a man, about 5'10", average build.

Being thankful

Hey, WAY OFF TOPIC but, if anyone has an old jacket that they might want to donate to the homeless, I will hang it in a noticeable spot in Historic South Central, where I work. "Winter is coming." Give it to Rob or me.

The problem with dualistic problem-solving--i.e., A or B types of arguments, is that people choose sides, become polarized, and fail to create alternative solutions. I like the idea of Friends of Sylmar , but I think that we could get a lot more mileage out of our desire to gain city-wide support if...

FOUND A CAMELBACK left on a chair from Saturday, 11/28/17

I'm posting it here b/c it seems more likely to be read in this location. It was with a hat. The hat vanished but the camelback remained. I assumed that it belonged to a hike-to-launch dude, but now I'm not so sure. It could be a mow-the-grass dude who owns it, as well. Anyway, it's in the fridge at...

Does anyone know how to reserve rides with Windsports?

I read something about how to reserve a spot but can not find what I read or any links on the Windsports site.

We need a Hook Knife!

JD offers some good advice. At the very least, we should have one hanging on the inside of the door, right next to a sign that says, "Hook Knife!" If someone supplies the knife, I will create the sign and attach a hook. I have not assembled, and probably will not assemble, a Portable First...

What kind of glider do you usually fly? How much do you weigh?
Will you be bringing your own harness? If not, what kind of harness do you usually fly with? What sites do you fly in Au?

in Rob's truck. Now, what? Hate to just put it in L&F. Post if you think it might be yours. (Probably the result of a mid-week trip to launch.)

BIG O LOOP LANDING PRACTICE 5/13/16 AJX

Mind you, this is all tentative, based upon weather... BUT, No-fly Steve is willing to spend (provided there are enough takers) about 8 hours driving up and down the Big O Loop to help pilots accomplish repeated launches, throughout the day. This site is very much like our own--AJX! The launch is ju...

This, by far, is one of the kindest, most considerate, and wonderful posts I've seen on this forum in a LONG time! There are a huge number of homeless people who camp out by my school! I would love to distribute a few of these packs!
