Re: Saturday's incident
Great to hear, Vrezh! Sounds like there is not much long term damage, if any? Glad to hear you are home. Good luck with it.

Re: Yosemite over Labor Day?
Well, it was an interesting trip. I got up there first Thursday afternoon with a little family entourage and was happy to discover that our "parking lot" campground had porta-potties, a trash dumpster and lots of good camping areas in the trees and meadow around the perimeter. The whole scheme prove...

Re: Yosemite over Labor Day?
Fires are clouding the picture for next weekend. Here are two sites to monitor the air quality: A map: https://www.purpleair.com/map?opt=1/mAQI/a10/cC0&select=14537#9.85/37.6263/-119.8048 , and a High Sierra webcam near launch: https://www.nps.gov/media/webcam/view.htm?id=81B464CB-1DD8-B71B-0BCE0506...

Red Rocks Fly-in
Dear Chapters and clubs. I would appreciate your help with getting the word out about the 2020 Red Rocks. Please forward this to your members and post on facebook, whats app, and telegram pages. Re: Yosemite over Labor Day?
Arthur is confirmed as the monitor. Sign up at yosemitehg.org.
Entry tickets for this weekend through recreation.gov are all taken, however Arthur can get you day passes for flying Saturday and Sunday so you will be able to enter the park on those days.

Yosemite over Labor Day?
I noticed today that day passes starting 9-3 were available for Yosemite. (Go to recreation.gov) That allows for entrance from 9-3 for 7 days, though you must leave at night. This will be the last chance to fly Yosemite for a couple of years (at least?) I'm planning to camp here: https://freecampsit...

Re: July 4
I loved your synopsis Greg! You forgot to add my horrifying launch but awesome glass off flight at Black Cap :D July 4th Wish i had been there for Sweetwater! What an amazing find! Also left out your other flight from Sugar to get half way home on your first try. Glass offs were nice there at Black...
Re: July 4 epilogue -- more than you want to know
It was an interesting and fun trip. Wed. July 1: Greg A., Steve M and wife Pat, Sujata, Arthur and Lisa all head north and rendezvous in Bishop for a possible late flight at Flynn's. It's blowing hard south though and on launch we decide that 25 cross from the south will not be fun and scratch the i...

Re: July 4
I'm in. I have room for Tony's glider and others, for that matter. I've been looking into camping sites and wrote to the Lakeview fairgrounds for some info. Here is the reply: Yes it's open...and I don't think you'll have a problem with a non hookup space. Dry camping is $5 night and our restrooms/s...

Re: Corona flying
I guess I'd say the same. Won't be hiking up, I don't think, but if I could get my stepson here to drive me one of these days I would fly. A friend is a nurse at the VA and is positive and sick, but they make her come in to work anyway as long as she can. Hospitals seem to be a last resort at this p...

Good actually. A sled ride for you counts as news. 13+ minutes for me. It was worth coming out just to watch Dennis with his PG outlast Joe G.Greg Kendall wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 11:30 amI had a sled ride last Saturday. How's that for discussion?
