Sylmar Hang Gliding Association

I will be the monitor for Yosemite hang gliding on July 28-29,2018 next month. I'll be heading up on Friday and back to Sylmar on Monday. Looking for a retrieval driver for Saturday and Sunday morning. Should be a fun weekend! This will be my first official weekend as monitor at Yosemite.

Not much wind at Bates yesterday but was able to get a short soaring flight on my eagle 164 .The wind was blowing like stink everywhere, but at Bates it was warm,sunny,and blowing in at 10 mph.

I'm heading out to fly Bates today. Looks like winds are WSW at 16 from 1:00pm till 4:00pm Blowing like stink at Kagel!!!

Just opened our road side farm stand on hwy 150 in upper Ojai valley.Today we have lemons,oranges,artichokes, and Emily's pottery.we will be open today till around 5:30pm If you get enough altitude feel free to land here and check it out,or you can drive by car or bicycle.

Lori is organizing a party at the LZ on Sunday April 24th at 4 pm to celebrate Juans 50th. Hope you can come to celebrate and share a story or two. There will be a taco truck, but also a potluck so bring some food and drink to share.

Wow, thank you to all my "Amish" hang gliding friends for a barn raising adventure that was beyond expectation! Emily and I are grateful and enjoyed what was truly a team effort.

I have many memories landing there.. I'll never forget Seabass over shooting on his Atos and popping over the stone wall.
