Yesterday a small group of Waugh family and Friends gathered in Ojai,CA to fulfill Fred's final wish to have his ashes scattered from a hang glider flying from the mountains he enjoyed the most.He is now free to soar with the Eagles.I will miss my flying buddy!

Fred's 2003 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner SR5 2WD truck has 190K miles. It has a rack and ham radio with big antenna. Slight body damage courtesy of notorious stunt driver.

Freddie passed away today after a decades long battle with cancer. He died quietly at home with his family. Fred began flying in the early 70's and took his last flight a year ago in Ojai at the age of 79. Fred was one of the fouding fathers of the 5S's. We will miss him. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

I've sold my Litesport 3 and need to ship to King mountain area.The glider needs a ride to the comp to be picked up by Jeff Feldman who lives nearby.If I can find a ride that would be great.Will pay $$.

It looks as if the glider was allowed to fly "off the runway line". Because of the left turn had a full flare been performed it might have caused the glider to turn left even more and put him in the boulders below.Anyway I hope that Mike heels fast and will be back in the air soon!
