very cool but i don't think it is actually weight shift controlled, as least not to any significant degree in roll control.

@Greg, yep, we should all be careful to make sure we clear the LZ when there are others landing (or possibly landing).

@Jeff, yep, thanks, glad someone else saw that save:)

Thanks OP and Jonathan. I have been getting so few days to go flying lately. Would have been a real bummer to deck out so early on such a decent day. With finding nothing promising on the glide all the way to the corner house I really thought I was done. Even after the first circle, only just barely...

yeah, it is pretty neat. actually kinda makes the scene look like a staged event with the camera not connected to the glider and a green screen backdrop. but definitely does a better job capturing the feel/motion of maneuvers with is almost completely lost with fixed/stationary mounts. Thx.

mosquito at el mirage

good to get the cobwebs off this aircraft. a few short flights with a trip to the flying j ranch and back. as usual, el mirage is like a light switch. wind was completely off for all launches and landings until the last landing when there were lots of dust devils (in advance of a front). the landing...

That is a really great video! Thank you to Andy and others who helped to make it come out so good. Nice little victory over sky diving - when I was president of the University of Massachusetts Hang Gliding club in the 80s, we used to "compete" with the sky diving club for funding and new m...

are the high altitude days over for this season?

I am guessing "yes", not that they are necessarily more fun than other flying days. The last big air day I got to fly was Sept 14th.

well, nice try, nice work. yep, does sound like the day was not that good, but you made the best of it. On Sunday (day before) a bunch of us also observed that there was no lift in front of Little Lukens and Lukens, just alot of really nasty air. I feel like this is normally a pretty lift-y area, so...

Hey Jay, glad the jitters are gone. Good luck in the future days. Sounds like Greg tanked his day to help out a pilot who didn't need help. I think every pilot has an obligation to show some signs that all is OK when you land out. Simple stuff like position the glider in a normal way, quickly unhook...

I like to give a big thanks to all who helped out with this fun event. We ended up getting there late (me, Andrea, Emily Rio) so I didn't get to help or see who was involved in the setup. I know Katherine Y, Greg A, Lynn M, Rob B, and others from SHGA helped get things rolling. And a huge thanks to ...

Windy Mid Day Flying Flying on July 4th, 2014

Sorry, I didn't get any good footage of the beautiful SHGA LZ park, others flying, good times in the LZ, the BBQ, our brotherhood/sisterhood of family and friends, all the best stuff. Anyway, ...

I think I am also right about 2.0 on my T2 154:
glider = 75, hookin = 230 (195 body + 35 harness, gear, gauges, bags, etc)
