Local Pilot Dies

She was notified of his death last night but was unable to see the body. Jose and Cludy are currently h...

Any and ALL suspected criminal activity. OHVs on the road okay. NOT on the road, not okay. Once gate is up, we'll get clarification from the Forest Service who has approval to be there and who doesn't.

New Emergency Contact Information

While driving to launch on Sunday, we happened across a group of sheriffs on dirt bikes and one with an SUV giving citations to people riding on the illegal motorcycle track (yeah!). The sheriffs came up to launch afterwards and we had an opportunity to find out more about this unique unit. This gro...

MORE wood chips

There are several loads of wood chips that have been dumped on the wash side of the runaway glider ramp. Please take time to spread them over the area more evenly to help prevent accidents.

Thanks!

Coyote Howl at McClure, May 19 & 20

There is a fly-in in northern California at McClure the weekend of May 19 & 20. It's a H-3 rated site and several Kagel pilots are planning to go. Check out the Mother Lode Sky Rider's site and join us. It' will be a weekend of camping and flying at a new site. Should be fun! http://www.mlsr.net...

Advanced or Intermediate?

I thought Lukens was rated a H-4 site for now. Is that wrong?

Go Home (well, at least start there)

The SHGA Web site consists of MORE than just the Pilot Forum. If you were ever to venture to the Home Page and look at the navigation bar on the left, under Flight Park Info there is an item called "Site Dangers." There you will find most of the information about specific Kagel conditions ...

I remember that day like it was yesterday. And I remember you talking in the LZ before we went up telling us what your plans were. Nice execution!

Come back and fly Adam. We miss you!

The pilot who's been dropping the ball for the past several years is George Stebbins. It's not an easy job either. A couple of years ago he launched the back because it was blowing down. As we all know, this time of year the wind direction is less than predictable.

Good luck George!

Sorry Eric! The thing would have broken soon anyway. However, I heard of a new PPT setup in development that is much sturdier. Waiting for a production model to release soon.

Macintosh browsers

I run a Mac for my business and haven't had any particular issues with the Pilot Forum. Where I have had an issue was with Windsports KagelCam. The streaming video doesn't work in Safari but does work in Firefox. Unusual since Safari seems to be the "browswer of choice" for Macs and Greblo...

SHGA Marketing

Awaremess marketing (that's what you're talking about) costs money. A LOT of money for it to be effective and penetrate to the degree you're talking about. Do you have a proposed budget? Specific marketing plan?
