Merry Condensation All My Friends!

https://youtu.be/8zVI26Vm_uY I originally began a secret anthology of my personal FAR 103.23 breaches in concert with Orian Price less than a year before he tragically died. I have since refined the edit and sound track dozens of times trying to get it just right and remove the non-aesthetic element...

Re: Cloud Suck Thursday - 2019.11.21

Watch out in the Clouds.... Please don't even be in the clouds locally given the amount of commercial and other powered air traffic. On another note, I see you signed your marvelous watercolor "WINGNUTZ". I am impressed. If you have an online gallery I would enjoy seeing more. Cheers, Jon...

Cloud Suck Thursday - 2019.11.21

Hour-long flight yesterday to 500' below cloud base just over 4900'MSL. The lighting and scenery were very pleasing but the cold and turbulence weren't nearly as enjoyable. I kept the edit short and to the point. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/orvDVALVcqY http://photos.imageevent.com/aero92/misc/vlcsnap-20...

Any good flights, anybody, please?
Lots of good flights. Kendall flew to Wilson and back. I think Chippy and Jim flew to East Lukens and back.
Highest was ~10,900'. I got to 9,200' and landed safely at Oro Vista and Big T Rd. on my old Sport 2 155.

The names have been released ... LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) — The San Diego County Medical Examiner released the identities of the two men who died in yesterday's paragliding accident. Glenn Johnny Peter Bengtsson, Carlsbad (43) Raul Gonzalez Valerio, Laguna Hills (61) ... but not their USHPA ratings ...

Woody Valley Tenax Rope Slider Failure!

I know there are a number of Tenax harnesses in the club that use the tensioned rope slider instead of a steel rod for the suspension.
Here is an ass-puckering reminder to follow the inspection and maintenance procedures in the Tenax owners manuals.

More like they one-undered your landing. Didn't mean to torpedo the topic. Is there a new sign-off co-branded w/ PADI?

Doug found me the actual video of your landing.

FYI - Dave Turner from http://sierraparagliding.com found Ken's glider and has the precise location recorded. I put Dave and Ken in touch with each other (hopefully) and the glider can soon be high and dry rather than submerged and damp.

Landing today at Sylmar in a strong crosswind and sliding somewhat sideways across the grass. When I get a section of Moyes zoom downtube to use as a mold I will make an adapter for the Moyes carbon speedbar.

There are 4 kinds of oxygen we can use for hang gliding and not just 2. Read all about it: http://www.c-f-c.com/supportdocs/abo1.htm

Landing Skid Test

Greg seemed so despondent over the dearth of videos so I've uploaded this test I ran yesterday of landable skids.

For those that don't know, I was the pilot involved. I plan to write a little about the series of bad decisions that led to the event once I've reflected on it a little further. Glad you survived unscathed Terry. Looking forward to your detailed report. Do you have a GPS tracklog? If so, I can conv...
