Thanks for the link. Let me get my admin legs before I start modifying the software base of the BB. In the case of the spam logins, these all seem to be real people who just create one or two logins per day. On a daily basis it's trivial to just spank them off the member list. It's only when they ge...

Spam Logins Created

In the last 4 months about 100 spam logins have been created. These are relatively harmless except they include a URL with the login designed to raise the google search ranking of their particular website. The logins also clutter up the member list. Since we are now at a point where 1/4 logins is a ...

I collected all the interviews we made last Sunday plus some landing footage (including Joe landing the movie glider) into a DVD. I will be in a seminar through Thursday so I will not be able to get the DVD to Danny until Friday. I'll deliver it then. Many thanks to Lynn for taking most of the inter...

I visited Danny today and found him initially combative. He had been trying to remove his restraints for some time and was pissed because no one (including myself) would help him. I don't really blame him, I'd probably feel the same way if my hands were tied down all the time. On the bright side, af...

Oscar: I really appreciate the taking of responsibility expressed in your apology. Actions done in an instant can have long term consequences. Your statements are sincere and address the issues at hand. The actions can not be without consequence, but my opinion of your integrity is restored. I fully...

Great! Go ahead and bring your easy-up. More shade is better. If we don't use it, I'll buy you a beer in penance.

Lynn sent to me a small list of morning tasks/needs/notes. I publish them here with minor edits: I (Lynn) will be in the LZ at 8am w/Jose Lopez showing up at 8:30am to begin setting up the Bounce "thing" for the kids. Please know that we will have a few special guests: 1) Special Needs adu...

Max: One of the characteristics of the LiteSport is that it will PIO pretty severely with the VG out and the bar pulled in hard. That appears to be what happened here. The natural bar position is pretty far out in front. With the VG pulled in the glider will fly fast in a straight line quite well, b...

This was on the last BOD meeting agenda. It was agreed that Joe would present a proposal detailing how a sale could be made and how the club should manage the equipment. The primary issue there is that we really need to limit the number of people with access to the vehicle and we need to control its...

This is an important issue to check. There has been a Moyes technical advisory out on this for some time. The link is here: http://www.moyes.com.au/articledetail.asp?ID=175&Cat=Technical I read that advisory and checked my Litesport the next time I flew. Sure enough one of the nuts had unscrewed...

I would like to add my voice and give a huge shout out to Lynn, Katherine, Ken and Oscar and everyone else who contributed to making this event such a success. How did your system crash and what is the operating system?

Usually you can recover most of your files with the proper software.

I just recovered 99% of a disk for a friend where the OS (operating system) would not even recognize the disk as a valid (formatted) disk.

Listening to the late night news last night (1/12) this story came up again with a sketch of the man, but no identification. At the end of the story there was a statement that the cause of death was ruled a homicide with no further details. This would explain the reason that this was treated as a cr...

Brad: That was a perfect summary. Clearly knowledge of the Pilot Proficiency Program is a key requirement although not stated in SOP-12-5 (as far as I can see). The rest of your paragraph, with a little "word-smithing", would go a long way toward clarifying what it really takes to become a...

It's tough to second guess the air and the pilots who won completed the course and were clearly the best pilots that day. I had a great time and was happy to both participat...
