On the day Jim quotes, I was another pilot who also pounded in due to a wet sail (just before Jim). I knew the problem with wet sails but was lulled into a sense of complacency when the pilot that landed ahead of me reported no problems on landing. I guess he came in from a different direction and h...

Bob,

I have to agree with Marshal. Please continue this discussion on the politics/off topic section. Your "sparing partners" will gladly follow, as will the morbidly curious. Those not interested might just get a break.

Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas!

That's funny Jonny. You looks so much like Zippy that you can understand the mistake. Anyway I got the message that I screwed up and I will make it right. The good news is that we figured out that Kraig won in 2007. We couldn't find results for that year so I will insert his name there when I correc...

Looking for 2007 Spring Air results

Does anyone know who won the 2007 Spring Air competition? The board of directors has authorized a plaque to be displayed on our pavilion to show who the winners have been for this event. I believe this event started in 2006 and was rained out that first year. The only reference found for 2007 is a p...

I saw it with my own eyes and still can't believe it. This is not an easy thing to do on a high performance wing. I would never want to try and duplicate that landing.
