To accept the general consensus of opinion, as I think I showed it above, based on a generic Google search of the term (which is the way us young people do it now days) is the opposite of elitist. An elitist approach, by definition, would be to take the opinion of a few "elite" pilots and ...

I came across my old logbook today and found Brown Sunday in there: September 30th, 2001. I was a Hang -2 with 15 hours of flight time. Entry says: Max. alt = 10,722. flight time: 3 hr, 11 min. - Convergence - Gust front ends day". My best flight prior to that were 53 minutes and max alt 4700ft...

It would be easier to get a copyright or trademark if we change the spelling to a more unique form. I suggest

World Capital of Hung Gliding

That may not apply to all of us, though.

With the money spent on the gazebo we could have a cable car with glider racks going up the face Maybe a zip line going down for the bad days. Well, the cable car might be a little out of the budget, but I bet we probably could do the zip line for that much IF not for the regulations and government...

I think the title world Capital was more like an award at the time for all the progress made in Southern California on Hang Gliding from everyone involved. Oh no, I believe we have always been the best looking. We started that way, we stayed that, we are that way. It may have been in contention at ...

I did some research and it appears that Sylmar is universally considered the World Capital of Good Looking Pilots. There seems to be no dispute about this.

I did it once on Chemo and it took me well over an hour. I think that's what actually cured me. The Cancer said: "This guy is trying to kill himself anyway, let's leave him alone." I heard there are cougars up there with bottles of Chanti just waiting; and not the friendly kind of cougars ...

First, thanks to you guys for offering what you are. It's unfortunate that the commercial rate is so high. I would say yes at $5 -$10 per year, but I don't think you would get enough payers to cover the ~ $900/ year of cost including tax etc.. Is it really not workable with Greblo? Can we get a high...

Don,

I think you have the definitions of spending and cutting mixed up.

If your kids spend more, you have less, but if you cut their allowance you have more.

Politicians are like kids without the maturity nor common sense.

I heard that some people saw Bob Lazar near the Gazebo during construction overruns, and that much of the money was spent on some strange and secret spherical structure that smelled of elderberries, and is now buried under the foundation.

If mistakes were made, identify them and try to quantify them as compared to the alternative. If that analysis informs us that there were better ways to have gone, we will know on the next project. But mistakes are not always purposeful, nor even preventable on a first time project. I think the most...

Khan Academy is great. I've watched hours and hours of his videos. If you have kids, you need to check it out. You can monitor progress and then pay your kids to be smart enough to support you, so you can fly every day.
