Brad?

Brad?

Would you like to take JT's suggestion to go out to Kagel to meet with some of their pilots and see if we can find a way to work together?

I'm willing.

Thanks JT. Thanks for the kind words and the advice. I'd be happy to meet with Brad any time. I think it's time for us to start working together. I think Sylmar would be a good venue. Maybe a little flying and then some discussions about resolving our differences and moving forward. Brad? Bob, I thi...

Re: election results

Hi Brad, First, let me congratulate you on your victory. Having said that, I hope you can recognize from this year's vote (Hall-111 to Katz-78) and last year's vote (Kuczewski-122 to Jebb-98) that there are clearly two constituencies who have voted in both years and who would like their views repres...

Sylmar Pilots join Hawks on Second Sundays at Torrey

Thanks for coming down Oscar!! It was good to see a few Sylmar regulars at Torrey! We had free food and sodas and some reasonably good flying. Heather got to test the Torrey lift in a Tandem with David Beardslee, and Oscar passed his H4 test (YAAAAYYY!!!). The wind did have a few ups and downs, but ...

P.S. If you don't vote, Santa won't bring you a new glider for Christmas (not that he was going to bring you one anyway).

All ballots have to be in to USHPA by December 15th. Please send them out right away!!

I can hear those Chipmunks like it was only yesterday... Alvin. Alvin! Aaaalllllviiinnn!!! Merry Christmas to you and all the Sylmar Chipmunks!! while i was subbing today, my first grade class spent an eternity in the auditorium practicing the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" song called "Xm...

By the way, Rebar Dan won a USHPA Commendation this year for his work in making and distributing those plaques.

Good Job Dan!!! :)

Great Sylmar Party and Second Sundays at Torrey

Great Party Lynn!! Thanks to you and the SHGA for putting this on. You have a great club and a great group of people. I was glad to meet more of them face to face (this forum isn't always the best way to get to know folks). I'm sorry to have "slipped away" so early, but it was a long drive...

bob, you have totally missed your calling. if ONLY you were my PD when i totally needed one on that trumped-up murder rap. would you be interested in taking a "power line crash vs. the ushg deductible" case? (they're in the right, but, i dunno, maybe you'd take it just for the sheer love ...

Sorry about the double posting. I tried to go back and delete it (or at least cut out the text), but that didn't seem to work.

I don't know what all the devils ( ) were about, but I was just answering the questions raised about the Torrey Hawks.

JT, This is a serious subject. Brad hall wrote a letter to the local government saying there is no problem at Torrey. This is a good thing because once the government gets involved we lose control of the outcome. The government may impose an unpredictable out come - like shutting down the site. Thi...

Maybe this will help... A lot of people wonder why we need the Torrey Hawks in San Diego. The answer is very simple ... because neither the SDHGPA nor USHPA would stand up for pilots - particularly hang glider pilots - at Torrey Pines. That's the underlying fact. Neither the SDHGPA nor USHPA would d...

P.S. ... I should say right up front that I'm not too optimistic about Jerry's chances of winning. But even if he doesn't win, if he gets a significant number of votes, then that will at least demonstrate that there are pilots who want to see some changes at USHPA. I think that's healthy in itself s...

I smell a very dead, very, very, well-beaten horse. Not that you shouldn't continue Bob. I appreciate that you're an ardent Boy Scout (another friend's description) and that you are striving to right all wrongs, perceived or real. It just stopped being entertaining a while back, at least for me, ex...

I'm sorry about all the long posts, and I'm sorry about all the muck. But I've seen Brad Hall do whatever Jebb wanted for over 2 years now. Just one more comment... Earlier in this topic Brad Hall challenged me to answer his "40 questions"... By the way Bob, you were asked the "40 questions" about your club well over a year ago, and have not answered one. What are you afraid of? So I replied: Let's go Brad. What was ...

WTF! Are you serious? Did this really happen? What is that guys problem. Yup. That's exactly how it happened. Check out the hanggliding.org topic where pilots began calling for Brad Hall to come clean with what he wrote to the City of San Diego: http://www.hanggliding.org/viewtopic.php?t=7572 Brad ...

I just want to offer one more comment about Brad Hall that I've seen from my perspective down here in San Diego. Brad has been very sneaky in using his Regional Directorship against clubs and people that he doesn't like. Let me give you just one example... In 2008 I got a tip that Brad Hall had been...
