Recommended Ham Radio Licensing routes?

Post by Frederick »

If you've found good routes to getting Ham radio licensed, please post them here. Particular on-line courses you thought were good?? I've not liked the old book from Radio Shack too much -- doesn't seem efficient.

Here is a link to some pretty good powerpoint presentations that cover everything you need to study for the Technician License.

Here is a link to a free online test that you can practice with to hone you skills:

Good Luck. The test is pretty easy, especially if you already have some basic electronics knowledge.

There will be a ham radio test administered on Saturday, December 2 at the Northridge Hospital at 8:00am. All you need to bring is $4 (exact change, no $20 bills) and 2 forms of I.D.

For more details:

It'll be in the 5th floor Penthouse Auditorium of the Northridge Hospital.
