Packs for the homeless

Post by Spitfire »

Given the expected El Nino rains and cold and miserable weather, my lovely wife has decided to make packs for the homeless. These contain a bunch of stuff including gloves, beanies, toilet paper, granola bars, water, heat packs, wet wipes, rain ponchos, socks etc. She's going to make them tomorrow and we should have around 35 bagged up to distribute.

The idea is to keep a bunch in your car and then hand them out to the homeless. If anyone wants to distribute some, I can bring a few up to Sylmar next time I'm there or you can pick them up from me in West LA.

Sylmar seems to have a number of homeless residents that could probably do with these.

Reply here or PM me if you want some and I'll sort out a way to get them to you.

This, by far, is one of the kindest, most considerate, and wonderful posts I've seen on this forum in a LONG time! There are a huge number of homeless people who camp out by my school! I would love to distribute a few of these packs!
