Radio Repair and Custom PTT kits just down the road!

Good news for Sylmartians! I discovered an excellent alternative to the radio guy up in Washington who's slow as a slug. There's a place just down the 210 Fwy in La Crascenta called K.R. Nida Communications.

Richard Nida is the owner. He and his staff specialize in radio kits, radio repair, troubleshooting, etc. My PTT and headset have been down for the better part of three years, only because I dreaded sending it back up to Washington for repair.

I sent my headset, wiring, etc to Richard's shop via USPS for almost nothing. He got it, trouble shot it, and had it back to me in 3 DAYS! He did not even want to charge me because the failure was dues to some simple corrosion that he took care of with a wire brush.

Take a look at his website. He says he would be happy to work with us, and might even be willing to meet with us at the LZ. He can custom make PTTs, knows every radio out there, and knows his stuff in general. Give him a call or send him an email!
