Yosemite this summer. Save the date, as they say.

Post by gregangsten »

The work on the Glacier Point road was postponed a year and Arthur has signed up to monitor July 17 and 18. Last season to fly the Y for awhile as the road is scheduled to be closed the following 2 years. I will be going up earlier in the week as usual to grab a spot or two so as the time approaches, let us know on this forum if and when you will be coming up so I/we can try and snag a site for you. See you at the camp, at the Point and on the river!

As usual, sign up to fly here. https://www.yosemitehg.org/

Since there currently aren't very many weekends with monitors it would be advisable to sign up early.
Otherwise the general flying public will take all of the slots.

Just found out that Covid is still an issue.
We will each need a day pass (which I can get for all pilots)
Bridalveil campground is now reservation only and booked solid.
I will probably be "camping" at the same place as last year, just outside the park.

Just found out about a fire related TFR for Yosemite. The trip is cancelled.
