Finally saw the total cost of my broken arm. Who ever comes closest without going over wins a dollar.

It was almost 70k. 68 and change. Just for the surgery.

I hope your insurance pays for everything. CA hospitals publish their financial records and if you find out what their write-off rate is you may be able to negotiate them down significantly.

I had a 400 dollar co-pay the day of surgery + Any every time i went for an x-ray and evaluation it was 20$.

Couldn't believe it when the "this is not a bill" letter the hospital sent was such a large number.

Crazy how a fairly common injury (broken arm) is more than double the median house hold income for the USA. Imagine all the car, skateboard, and bike accidents that happen everyday. Who pays for it?
