Great day today! I launched around 115 after a few others. Being low at first was a bit iffy, and I had to scratch for a little while with a few others on the lower bowl(s), but finally got my ticket out when it turned on. Above launch it was great. Larry was nice enough to mark a thermal for me at towers that took me to 7480; I later caught another at trash to 7616 (personal best for me at Kagel). Got to fool around west of towers launch and out towards lances (should have gone to big T but didn't have the testicular fortitude.)
Later (after 3) it seemed like there was lift everywhere between launch and the LZ so I eventually started looking for sink to get down to land. Got over 2 hrs.
with regards to forecasts: the socal RASP/BLIPMAP site seemed to do a pretty good job predicting lift and wind direction:
