Hungary Joe's Restricted Landing Field Class - 11/16-17

Post by Lynn McLaughlin »

Hungary Joe's Restricted Landing Field Class

Joe has offered to teach his RLF class the weekend of November 16-17, 2013, if six or eight people are interested. If more people want to do this, he will do additional classes. Many pilots have taken this class and found it very worthwhile.

The class consists of ground school, four flights in two days (with a video and analysis of every approach and landing) and guided tours of the alternate LZs near Kagel. The entire clinic costs $120 for the class and the four rides to launch. It is open to advanced Hang-2 pilots and above; Hang-2 pilots should verify their eligibility with Hungary Joe.

Class starts at 8 AM on Saturday for ground school. Next is a tour of the LZs to the west of the main LZ. Then we do two flights. The LZ for these flights is the wash or the lawn, with ground markers showing the limits of the hypothetical restricted field. On Sunday, we start at 9 AM, tour the LZs to the east of the main one, and make two more flights. If Kagel is not flyable but Avenue S is, we fly there.

Please contact me directly via email: lynn@expertmeetingsplus.com or by phone: 818-421-3251.

Soon we fly!

I'm very interested but not sure I will be free. Will provide a more exact answer in the coming weeks.

Tom and Janyce, We will count you in and thanks for the quick reply.

Mike, We are considering opening up this clinic to qualified pilots outside SHGA. I suspect limited space will fill up quickly. However, I will hold a spot for you but need you to confirm with me no later than 11/9 - sooner if possible.

Soon we fly!

I would need to be driving away from the LZ at 4:30 on Saturday. Sunday should be okay. Do you think will be done in time on Saturday?

Hi Corey, Great to hear from you. Unfortunately the clinic is full - we can only take up to eight students. Further, this is an H3/H4 clinic (w/H2 approval from instructor). I did not receive instructor approval for you to attend this particular clinic and I did not hear from you directly so I assumed you would take the clinic next year. I appreciate your understanding.

Email or call me directly if you want to discuss live...

I'll leave these on my cloud storage for a couple of weeks. So, download any that you want to keep to your local machine. These are HD resolution and range from about 60 MB to about 170 MB.

Gee Tom,
I am only seeing a blank page with the Box header on top.
Do I need to create an account with them? Are other pilots seeing the files?
