I think you could do better, Dave...
Thinking of Opie and Mike, there have been many great pairings:
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot
Starsky and Hutch
Ren and Stimpy
Beavis and Butthead
Bonnie and Clyde
Perhaps most appropriate: Rocky and Bulwinkle. You all can guess who is which.
I've also noticed that many of the best names don't have anything to do with the named; think Black Dog and Led Zeppelin.
In this vein, Teaser and the Firecat seems strangely fitting.
