That's pretty amazing...and on an intermediate-level glider, too!

Thanks for all of the information! That spells it out pretty well. Nice to have the graphic on my computer to study. As for the heli takeoff...no need to hover. Hovering close to the ground is more dangerous. If something goes wrong you need to gain forward speed to autorotate. When hovering, you ca...

May Canyon Heli Corridor?

The club web site has a fairly vague description of the May Canyon Helicopter Corridor (which we are not to linger in). Is the vertical and lateral extent (or at lea...

Dam Road / Upper Wash Access
I visited the LZ this morning and tried to take a walk up the road toward the dam. Not wanting to cause any trouble, I turned around at the "No Tresspassing" sign with the camera on the pole. Can anyone tell me what the access restrictions are? Is the whole area off limits or just the road...

New-to-site paraglider pilot
Greetings Flyers! I am a paraglider pilot residing in Altadena. I am P3-rated with 55 hours (almost all which are mountain thermal). My training was done at Marshall, though I've flown a number of other sites. Being geographically convenient, I would love to give Kagel a try. I'm more than happy to ...
