Aeros Discus 15 model B for trade

I have an Aeros Discus Model B that I would like to trade for a Falcon-3,4-195 or Alpha. The Discus has about 35 hours on it and the sail is still like new. I'm willing to sell but would rather trade. This model breaks down to just under 8 feet for travel. It's an advanced intermediate glider. I hav...

Condor question - when do they come?

I remember seeing California condors at Kagel, but don't remember what time of year. Do they come around the same time (when they do) or does it vary throughout the year?

For those going to Yosemite later this month, is anyone planning on going up early to claim some campsites for the group?

Re: Current toilet costs

Don, Our current annual cost for the toilets (one in winter, two approximately from the Spring Air Festival through the Dahlsten Cup) runs about $2100, plus or minus about $100. Exact amounts are in the annual financial reports available in the Members area. If we used $1800 of this for bathroom cl...

$25K for pavilion construction

I saw this note on the web site:
A huge shout of thanks goes to Councilman Alarcon for pledging $25K towards the pavilion construction!

Great news! What are the details of this?

That looks really nice! You definitely have my vote! I would recommend a solid color brown stain to match the posts with the clear coat on top.

You can save the postage for my vouchers, I don't need them. The club can keep my $100. I'm fine with the new annual fee.

What shape is your Discus in? I might want to buy it for having spare parts. I also have a Discus 160 model B.

In light of Jonathan's most recent post about Danny's condition, and his posts about getting a locator beacon, I have to add my 2 cents. One of the pieces of advice I received while training many years ago from Fred Vachss was to get a motorcycle helmet that was SNELL rated. He did mention that it w...

That looks like an easily avoidable whack! From the video, he was nice and level until he transitioned his hands from the base tube to the downtubes, which induced a small turn leading to the whack. I'm not sure why he had both hands on the base tube until the last 1-2 seconds? That could be an expe...
