The reason I didn’t want to go back and forth with you, Bob K., is that (in my humble opinion) your squabble with the USHPA over the years has veered into zealotry. Arguing with you is like arguing with a religious fanatic or a Trump supporter (still love ya, Joe!). Keep fighting the fight, Bob K., ...

Hey Bob K., OMG, did you just compare Ken A. to those who stayed silent during witch trials, lynchings and the holocaust? Over the hyperbolic line, dude!!! You not being allowed to launch a sanctioned USHPA site is not equivalent to burnings, hangings and genocide. I’ve always supported your right t...

You know, when I first posted my query about the insurance, I had no idea it would cause such a divisive response. From now on, I'll only post topics that are completely neutral, i.e.: Donald Trump rules! I can't see anyone having a problem with that.

Oh, yeah?! Well, would an insane person run off a mountain with a giant cloth attached to his back?! (on second thought) Okay, maybe you're right on that one.

Thanks Greg. Clear, concise answer. You scared the shit out of me and the money out of my wallet.

USHPA mailer re: donations for RRG

Obviously, we've all gotten emails and snail mails regarding donations to USHPA to launch RRG. Just trying to figure out whether or not to donate. Thoughts?

At the risk of sounding overly-sentimental, Rome WAS Sylmar. He will be sorely missed.

Thanks for the offer, Rome, but I find that tomatoes actually do better if they're not caged. Check out "I Know Why the Caged Tomato Sings" by the late Maya Angelou for more information on this topic.

Sorry, Spitfire, but (see original email) it's the FIRST person who answers my question who gets the free hang glider from Joe. The fourth person (you) has to give Joe a bubble bath (BTW, it can be either Greblo or Hungary - either of them could use a good scrubbing).

OP, Thanks so much for the offer. As soon as I figure out what "post it somewhere" means, i will do that. Also, I would be glad to take any hang gliders off your hands. But I would also need to take your first-born son. I was reading the Old Testament recently (the story about Abraham taking his fir...

GoPro Question

I have a Go Pro Hero 3 and shot a video during the club's last trip to Big Sur. (By the way, I don't know if anyone's noticed this before, but the scenery up there is very pretty). I transferred the video to my MacBook Pro and watched it a few dozen times (forcing my family to watch it with me). I l...

Lose it. We could use the extra money to buy Rome a dictionary.

A magical day at Dockweiler

The little boy in the attached photo was amazed that I was able to fly like that. But he was even more amazed that Rome Dotson was still living.

Joe,
As the unofficial house pro (pilot, not prostitute) at Dockweiller, I'd be honored to join you. And since my glider's already there, all I have to bring is my liberal bias.

Hey Janyce,
I have a 170 Falcon hanging in my brother's garage in Playa Del Rey that you could use - no fees attached. Let me know.

And you thought Sylmar hang glider pilots are weird...

The below link is to a documentary called "Guys and Dolls" about a group of men and their non-human significant others (ie anatomically correct plastic women). The second man we meet (a Brit) turns out to be a hang glider pilot who actually takes his "lady" along to watch him fly. Enjoy. http://vide...
