Re: WANTED 76CSX gps

Eddy,
I have a GPSmap 76CS that I don't use. Next time I'm in CA (first week of December maybe), I'll give it to you.

Wills Wing U2-160 (2005)

Wills Wing U2-160 for sale. I'll upload some pictures in a few days. The glider is stored at the WindSports house. It has been maintained and repaired by WindSports throughout the years and has been my primary wing since 2005. Now, it's too big for me, and I haven't been flying much lately, so gotta...

Yes, indeed - absolutely great clinic! I know that a lot of hard work went into this event and I appreciate everyone's effort, the food & drink, the space to make it happen, and the expert instruction. The flight was also spectacular! It's rare to get above launch in the mountains during the sum...

Ken,
I heard there's a bailout LZ over there - is that true? If so, I'd like to take a look before or after the open house.

Alex,
I launched shortly after 3:00 PM. The wind started really picking up about 30 min before that (I think). I should have been in the air by 1PM or so.

Nice flight Alex! I was there on Friday too, but launched way too late - the convergence had already pushed thru. It was blowing 30 on launch and I barely got above 4000 feet!!! Rats!

Epic conditions at Pine on Saturday (9-7-13)

Multiple PG pilots were doing a comp from Pine, and I was the only HG on launch. Don Taber showed up while I was stuffing battens. Launched about 12:15 and sank out in the west rotor until way below the last knob. Got some lift there which eventually took me to 13K. Made a bee-line for Guillermo, bu...

Celebrities

I thought it would be cool to have a list of celebrities that have committed aviation at Kagel. Joe G. mentioned these: State Senator Richard Alarcon County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavski Comedian George Lopez Troy Hartman I've personally seen these: Jeff Probst (Survivor) Alan Tudyk Others? DT

I flew on Sunday and it was windy on launch. It was difficult to get the glider stable - felt like something was pushing down on the keel/tail. I've never felt that at Kagel before. Clearly, I didn't have my angle of attack right, but it was strange for sure. I also didn't care for the dust and dirt...

Been doing plenty of that - I was more interested in talking to people with air time in the harness or seeing one up close.

CG-1000 harness

Anyone have experience with or know of comparison reviews of the CG-1000? I'm currently flying a Z5 and now on the hunt for a new harness. I did read the October 2012 article in the HGPG mag.
