Pleasant winter day

Winter is here. Don't remember it being this unflyable in the past. Today, though, it turned out to be a nice, pleasant day, nothing like forecasts. Good turnout too, 2-3 trucks, both HG and PG. I took the Falcon out, most others were on high performance gliders. It turned on around 1 pm, people got...

Falcon 1, 170

Purchased this Falcon last year, second hand, to return to hang gliding. It is a very sweet flying glider, excellent choice for someone, returning like me, or for a beginner pilot. You don't need to spend a fortune on a new beginner glider, because you will move on soon. Comes with set of 10" nice p...

Re: Update on Kevin

Kevin went trough several surgeries in different hospitals, had some rough times, pretty serious matters. But it's finally over. They fixed him good and send him home. Still long way to recovery, but he is in good spirits, and getting better every day. He is a tough guy, he will put himself together...

Got a flightless bird?

Hi folks, Does anyone have an INTERMEDIATE glider sitting in the storage and not being flown? Let it make some $$ for you. I'd like to rent it for a month or two. Will fly locally, once a week or so. I hook in at 180, so any medium size glider is good. I am always careful with flight gear and take g...

Re: Website migration

Also, when I try to access the forum using my phone (Galaxy/Android), I cant open any forum discussion. I see the categories list, "General", "Flight Discussion", "Events", etc, but clicking on them doesn't do anything, I can't see the topics. This happened after changing the format. Thanks for your...

Re: Woody Valley Tenax Rope Slider Failure!

Didn't know there were issues with slider ropes in our club. (Well, i was out of the loop for some years). Nevertheless, I've been flying my Tenax for god knows how many years, still have the original slider rope, still in good shape. Of course, you have to maintain your gear, Tenax or not. You can'...

I was under the impression that there is special aviators oxygen? -Fred- Ditto. The moisture content is low in aviation oxygen, according to sources, so it doesn't freeze up inside the small passages and valves in the system at low temps (high altitudes). But again, who knows, look at Greg, a livin...

Been a while...

5 years, actually. Things went downhill in 2013, surgery after surgery, then some. Recovery took some time. In my mind, I never stopped flying, though. Finally, i reached the point, i can fly. I've been preparing recently, went to Dockwailer couple of times, then to AJ training hill, on a Falcon. Go...
