Opps! -- Malicious Web Site Blocked

Oh No! YHGA.org has been hacked, so go onto the YHGA website at your own peril! In any case, I wanna go in a non-flying capacity, and will chase Dave and anyone else who makes River Margaritas. http://yhga.org/signup.htm is a known malicious web site . It is recommended that you do NOT visit this si...

I hope to see everyone come out Sunday for a hamburger or brat! Pay no attention to those N winds, and come out for the sun, suds and fellowship!

Re: Erwin's memorial

I wish I could be there, but I am unable to. I will be there in spirit, though, and I could actually tell a few stories....like the time he actually wore a suit and tie (albeit a bit too tight) to attend a wedding in Yosemite that I also attended. If I can find a picture, I will post it as proof! E...

Erwin McDavid Send Off this Sunday on St. Patrick's Day

The SHGA is holding an Irish Wake for Erwin McDavid this St. Patrick's Day Sunday March 17, kinda. Actually, after flying we will have a BBQ in the LZ with booze, ballads (if you bring music) and stories about the great things Erwin did for the club and our flying community over the last two decade...

I will be there. Great. Too bad you don't have free beer anymore. Who does BBQs at the LZ? We need them to join this shindig and make it happen. I don't yet have anyone offering to help with labor, booze, beef or ballads. Also, I don't have much credibility anymore; I only come out to the LZ for de...

Erwin McDavid Irish Wake on St. Patrick's Day March 17

Erwin’s ashes went to a nephew in Michigan. Let's say goodbye to him Irish Wake style, in the LZ. It doesn’t need more than a green theme, a handful of ballads, booze and a BBQ to happen. Anybody game? If McDavid isn't from Ireland, then don't tell the Irish, and remember that Erwin isn't around...

Erwin McDavid was cremated at the Armstrong family mortuary. His ashes were send to an Oakland County, Michigan nephew named Felix McDavid. Let's say goodbye to him Irish Wake style on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17. It doesn’t need more than a green theme, a handful of ballads, booze and a B...

Farewell Erwin -- RIP. Thanks for being there when I made 145 miles in the Big OV. You were always available to help when we were in need -- thanks for rescuing my sorry butt from that car wreak in the OV, and thanks for joining our wedding party in your handsome suit and tie. Forever yours, Grant &...

Show a little respect, and cut some slack. Rome was developing new HG locations and methods before spell checkers existed, back when you were just a twinkle in your daddy's eye. If you two were around back then, you would have called his hang gliding f-ing insane.

For 10 years I lay my gliders directly upon the fiberglass shell covering my pickup truck bed, with a rack solely on the front. That way there was less damage to the gliders, and the fiberglass shell was none the worse.
