I always wear my seat belt in my car. I will only wear one in a glider truck if I'm in front or there's not 4 people in the row with me... you take up too much room with a seat belt on to fit 4 people. If you want to wear a seat belt and you're not making it hard to fit pilots into the truck, I say ...

I'm more of an application guy than a web guy, but I'd be willing to pitch in to get the custom software rewritten. What language is it in? PHP? Javascript? ???

On that point. We should stop the google from crawling our forum. We are basically waiting for bots to download our data, and someone suing the club over the forum. It looks like we don't have a robots.txt file on shga.com... that would take care of any issues with google if people agree this is a ...

I'm planning to stay for the whole thing, so leave Sunday I guess? I have to be back at work on 2 Sep so that's really the limiting factor for me.

We have room for 1 more, likely. Leaving on Friday, and swinging by Telluride on the way out.

They keep mentioning that they are building showers on site this year. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to keep my vario and radio charged all week long if I camp on site (which is my current plan). They don't have power available for general use, it sounds like. What do you guys do, just char...

PacAir MkIV 19 to a good home - GONE

I have a PacAir MkIV that I need to unload, 3 gliders is 1 more than I need. It has a small tear in the underside of the sail, and the kingpost wires on top need some work, but other than that it's in good shape. I've put about 10-12 hours on it, I do not know how many it has from the first owner. I...

Blown launch, 2 May 2014

(Per request of Steve Murillo I'm putting my report here.) It was blowing in mid teens with some strong cross gusts coming through frequently. My right wing started to lift as my wire man cleared the nose, and I launched in a turn before I took my first step. I should have aborted the launch at this...

Pacoima Wash Bikeway

http://la.streetsblog.org/2014/03/18/san-fernando-votes-to-move-forward-with-pacoima-wash-bikeway/ Looks like this is moving forward, albeit slowly. Ultimately they plan to build a bikeway all along the wash. The vision document noted that they met with SHGA in 2009 to address concerns about the int...

Doarama

I just found this website today... you can upload your GPS tracks to it and it will visualize your flight using bing. Super easy. Here's a flight of mine from February as an example: http://www.doarama.com/view/2912 Also, they've added multitrack visualization as of November, if you upload a flight ...

I don't think newer H3's are going to have an RLF and XC sign off... I sure don't. Why is this now a requirement?

I was looking forward to participating in the Sport Class too :(

I'm glad you made it out relatively unscathed, Rob.

Definitely a sobering reminder to take no part of your launch routine for granted.
