However if PG don't thermal very well and doing wide inefficient circles its better to leave him along. You don't need to...

First flight in 2011 from Kagel (Video)

Rare day in January when wind was blowing in right direction, well, at least few hours. 200 ft over launch it was 5 mph NW, so I even try to ridge soar back spine little bit. After transition to Trash it was over, can't get up anymore, but still good 30 min flight. Here is the video: http://vimeo.co...

It was very successful trip. We flew all 3 days: Sat., Sun & Mon. Weather was similar all 3 days, cross wind from south on launch with light east component on the top of lift. Base was around 13K-15K. Sat.'s task was Paiute -> Boundary Peak -> Bishop (52 miles). I was 2 km short of goal because ...

Hi George,
What do you think about launching from Paiute with light E or SE wind? Its kind of in the lee, but probably thermal cycles will block it.

NAM forecast show south in the valley, so hopefully it will work out well. Too bad you can't go.

Weather for this weekend looks promising. It will be North & South XC leagues meet in Owens this weekend also. However they normally launch from Paiute.

Does anyone plan to flying from Walt's? Let me know :)

Alex how far did the third pilot in your group get?
John (Southside) flew 50 miles. There was some kind of sink hole in this area (where we both landed), so we must fly deeper in the mountains instead of front range.

Congratulations for Adam, Don, Oscar, BJ, and you Max!
