There are things that crooks find highly irritating an usually keeps them away: cops, nosy people, questions, and cameras.

The cops used to come around occasionally. Does someone know those guys? Could they be asked to visit more often.

<i>"I like the idea of video surveillance."</i>

Transient porn - my favorite. But, if I see someone getting some action while wearing a damned Guy Fawkes mask, I'll nuke the whole place.

Yea, once you tun downwind, you cover a lot of ground very quickly, and you are way back there in no time at all. I'm interested to know what experienced pilots would recommend if that got much worse, and there was no way to get over the ridge. Fly the low terrain over the dam where there might be v...

If you knew nothing about hang gliders, you would think you guys were doing about 90mph.

How fast was that?

I'm interested in such a clinic, assuming the timing is right. I have an opening May 12th, 2019, from 3:30pm to 3:35pm.

I'm not critiquing anyone's comments here, I'm just having fun. My only real concern is the crime. We leave a lot of stuff laying around worth stealing, and when you think about it, few things interfere with life as much as not being able to trust people. You have to deal with it numerous times ever...

I agree with the Board's position, and we may not actually have a problem with this - I don't know. If we do, now or later, it's important to remember that every time a community does have this problem it ends the same way - crackdown. They take different paths to get there, but it's an old and comm...

There is only one response in these situations:

We have had a pretty good run without having to worry much about our stuff being safe. We'll miss that.

Thanks Tom, Yea, I found the high res originals. So now I know what I look like in the sky. It's awesome - like a thunder god on Pegasus. I can't believe that stupid nag tripped on the landing. Glue factory here she comes. I'm not the black glider. I'm the half blue and white with the square tips. S...

Rome, You are my inspiration. When people ask why I fly, I tell em about you, and say why not? Oh yea. Thanks Tom for perfectly capturing my fine approach, ending with a whack, and posting it for all. Trust me when I say nothing like that has ever happened before. After over a decade of flying, that...

If you brought home a swing set, would you put it inside your new $200K home? The gazebo is designed to be a space for people to view the LZ activities (whacks) with a good angle and protection from the sun and rain. The space is limited, and I don't think the hang device cares if it has a good view...

We could modify it so that it could be removed from the base and mounted to a single strong post sunk into the ground under a tree. Then the mower could go around it without issue and it wouldn't be in the way. It could also be moved to the gazebo east corner patio level as is, or again, remove the ...

I agree about the hang check thing. It takes up a lot of space, and is not a good use of the limited space under the roof where it looks out of place.

We should have a safe permanent hang point somewhere though, even if it's just hanging from a tree.

Another stone complete at The 8th Wonder of the World

The last of the hand rails was installed today on the garden steps. The whole set of guardrails and hand rails is definitely not perfect, but if the place gets leveled by a nuke, I know I could do it better the next time. I learned a lot, and it was fun to do. I believe it meets all the code require...

Perfect. No, that's OK Sebastian, I'll see it eventually. BTW, All, I haven't forgotten about the final hand rails. I'm planning on installing them next week. Then finishing up by buffing out the welds and refinishing the wood caps with a second coat of stain. Been too busy lately to get out there.

I'm not in any way an expert, but it seems to me that he hit the pole because he failed to avoid it. His sudden lift put him off course, in a way moving the pole into his flight path. The new added height added energy that lengthened his distance to bleed it off. If he flared he may have not made it...

Fantastic Seabass! We may want to move it closer to the street to reduce the length of the run. Not to mention that in it's current location the handicap ramp will become the primary route of travel out and back, which may put too much wear on it. It would also be nice to be able to see from the gaz...

I hate to be the one who causes mission creep, but how much would it be to get one of those guys that hands you a towel and some cologne? Those guys usually have really good advice on life and love too, so it's well worth the cost.
