Because the name "Falcon" has more cachet, and is sexier, than "Pelican". Or "Buzzard". Or "Albatross". For example. And I really like Pelicans. And Buzzards. When you think about it, the Albatross is really the bird you want to emulate. He is the perfect soar...

I gave the camo net away due to lack of response or interest. One can buy them at any Army surplus for a reasonable amount.

That figure is not surprising. I am guessing that is without any padding. It could even go higher as problems are encountered.

I would guess you could get it to around 60,000 with "value engineering" but much less than that will require a major design change.
