OK, slackers, or maybe no one really uses the internet while at the LZ. I mean we are there to hang glide.

However, from my perspective, it's better than it's ever been.

Give it a try if you've been less than pleased with the previous performance.

The Camera should be now fully automated so that it points at the correct place during the day. It's programmed to start looking at the windsock on top at 8:15 and then will cycle every 15 minutes from the LZ windsock to the top. At 9:05am it will stay on the top until about 3 when it will then focu...

I'll be putting the camera up this evening and should be able to have it fully operational shortly after that.

I'm thinking the performance should improve as well with the recent router upgrade.

We'll know in a few days.

Camera is still good

I regained control of the camera today, it's functional but not in the LZ at the moment. I've got to reset up all of the functions before I can remount it again, maybe be back up by this weekend, but no promises. I'm just happy that the camera is not broken.

Internet Router Replaced

We replaced the router in the equipment cabinet. I believe everyone should expect better throughput and not nearly as spotty connectivity as we had with the older router.

Please let me know if your experience is better.

Nothing should change as far as connecting to the WiFi.

Camera Inoperative

Yes, I am aware that it is not functioning. I attempted to restart /reboot it on Thursday.

I'm going to need to bring it down physically and attempt a recovery. Its getting power but not getting an ip address. I'm hoping I can completely reset it wen I get physical access.

Stay tuned ........

The trip

Kevin and I made very good time getting here traveling about 1000 miles the first day and resting / camping over night at a road side rest near Glenwood Springs in Colorado. When we pulled in there it was night and we really weren't ready for the breathtaking beauty we would awake to. I slept in the...

Midwest 2017

Stay tuned while the 3 amigos (Kevin, Chip, and Phill) travel to the land of corn and mosquito's to fly above the skies of Wisconsin with about 80 other pilots. I'm sure I'll end up in the back of the launch order on the first day so I'll be keeping Kevin company at least for the first day, although...

Another nice thing for some perspective, I've converted the track logs and included them into a Google earth file. You can see all of the track logs for the open class overlaid on Google earth. I've also made the cylinders for the course so you can see the boundaries of the waypoints and the entry s...

Here's an animation of the top four pilots that were pretty much leading the race. Top 3 all finish within 30 seconds of each other.

SpringAir 2017

Great weather, great racing, very nice turn out. Thank you for everyone that helped in any way. Has to be one of the best clubs in the nation. I'm happy to be part of this club. Congrats to the top three open class pilots that all finished within 30 seconds of each other. I led much of the race, alt...

Kevin and I are in, but we're leaving about a week early to make the trip easy and to get some towing practice in for Kevin.

Phil might show up, he's not yet confirmed, Kevin and I are on the confirmed list. Lot of pilots showing up for this meet

Stay tuned .......

Carabineer Position

While using Ron's Tenax 3 while I was in AZ, hook in checks before launching were of course taking care of themselves since you are lying down in the cart before launching. However, the issue I had was the carabineer rotating on me and laying on the locking gate. This was primarily because there was...

Make sure auto-silence is off. Otherwise you have to be flying, and then that completely defeats the purpose

You would think that having the simulator on would cancel that setting.

Sounds like another enhancement request

DigiFly Audio

This weekend some of the DigiFly owners were discussing the audio settings for the sink alarm and the frequency not being to their liking. Last night I finally did a deep dive on the audio settings of the DigiFly and attempted to make the sink alarm dramatically lower in frequency than the climb ton...

Re: Dahlsten Cup 2016

Hey; now I want a few more points! I believe that my track log will show that I took the first start gate at 1:30, sank like a stone, and so hung around and restarted after the second start gate at 1:45. That is legitimate, isn't it? Hence, I think my flight time should be 15 minutes shorter than s...
