Windfinder now has our data and we're on the map http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/sylmar-flight-park Once the web cam comes up, we'll get that on there too. But for the best user experience, you'll just go directly to our site and be able to control the camera. Looks like they are only updating o...

I've basically saturated all the existing weather sites with our weather station details. So far I have: Weather Underground PWS CWOP/APRS (ham radio community) Installed our own web server that will also serve as a web, cam, and ftp server And recently applied to windfinder, they've got what they n...

They responded and I just sent them the information they require. Now it's up to them.

I've submitted a request to participate in the sending of data to their network.

We'll see if they accept.

Next up, web cam

I need to thank Francisco who did one of the more difficult tasks of running the power cable under the storage over to the existing outlet. Not sure how difficult it was, but without that assistance, I'd still be in a holding mode. Now hopefully the mount for the web camera will get here soon. They ...

Weather station is mounted and working so that's good. Still need to put the software on a server. I'm getting that setup. Until then the internet portion isn't going to be working. But when it does, then the links I provided above will be live. We can get a widget from our own weather station, like...

Weather Station

Now that I have the stupid IGNORE button working, I'm moving on to the next project. Seeing how the LZ has internet now, there's a whole host of things we can do to make it easier to decide if the trip to Sylmar is worth the drive. Now if you lived in Sylmar like a few of us, the drive is no big dea...

Ignore Button

Well because you all cannot "play" nice, I've been forced to mod the forum so you all can "ignore" each others post because some here are so thin skinned. So, you'll notice that each post is adorned with an ignore button. For it to work effectively, you'll need to be signed in so...

2015 Dahlsten Cup

I didn't notice the error in the time that Greg started the task and should have seen that he started at 14:20 on the second clock. As such, he'll be awarded the Dahlsten Cup over Ron. Sorry about that over sight, but part of the issue when running a one day comp. Results on soaringspot if anyone el...

Missing: Harness Bag (extra long)

I believe it was removed from the Thompson truck and placed in the LZ with the rest of my bags, but when I went to pack up the harness, it was gone.

Anyone see it?

That's a lot of work for the day. What a roller coaster ride it's been already only two days into it. Still, you're in 10th place. Basically it's all up to you. I'm with you Jay, flying upwind is difficult. 3pm launch sure makes for some late days. Good thing it's still summer. Stay cool while you c...

Did you do a practice task yesterday or were you busy arranging the truck logistics?

How about today, any news on the task?

How many tugs do they have?
