Rome's old slides

Rome gave me these old slides to scan. I think the water ski gliders are Bill Bennett photos.

One of the guys in one of the group shots looks like Steve Moyes.

George -

We howled at your implication that the reason condors are chummy with Rome is that they consider him to be vulture chum. You're a card.

You need to be dealt with.

That golden eagle has an attitude problem and an altitude problem. 1. Hubris. Everyone knows one-handed catches are for showboats. 2. Greed. Obviously a one-percenter going for more than he can possibly use or enjoy. 3. Physics. It's doubtful that his wing area can produce enough lift to get that ve...

Next Question

Should he have thrown his chute? I think, yes. With the right wire broken, there was nothing he could do to come out of the left turn. As Jonathan observed, any control movement would just steepen the bank to the left. Letting go of the control bar might allow the glider to fly at trim long enough t...

Nice photo, you swarthy stallion! Oops, sorry, you said no gay stuff. My bad.

I have a Moyes Contour, if you'd like to look at it. $150 plus $150 for my 22-gore PDA chute.

Owens this weekend?

I have two spots in my truck for a trip to the Owens, leaving the LZ about 7 pm Friday, August 5, returning Sunday pm.

You may have to camp. The Dow Villa is full, but I haven't checked anywhere else.

I have a Flytec 4020. No GPS, but it records your last 10 flights' duration and max altitude.

I have all the manuals, etc.

Tiedown strap found

At the Springair festival ( that's right, five months ago) I found a really nice tie-down strap that I think you'd want back. Send me an email describing it. WingNutz314@sbcglobal.net.
