In that there is endless debate in this club and nothing is ever done until some member steps up to the plate, I have taken on the resolution of this particular problem. At my own expense I have hired Agent Walker to fix the problem. There is no need for new rules. He can’t read anyway. Sunday, hi...

Ken's statement was clear to me. My balot was already mailed so I can't change it. My statement was less clear. I did not mean let Lynden win and then knock him off so we could get Catlyn. I like Catlyn. I would stand inbetween her and certain death. However, I back Lynn for Activities Director.

Re: Candidate withdrawal during an election
after Mel Carnahan's election to the US senate after his death in 2000 and whose widow was appointed in his place.
If Lynden suffered a sudden and untimely demise, who would take his place? Catlyn? hmmmm. food for thought.
The food was good but I knew that from previous years. Lots of veggies compared to our normal fare and yes I do eat veggies other than potato chips. One of the dogs even ate Chippy's zaggy. By the smile on its face it was good too!

Thanksgiving day report

It was blowing up in the LZ and by noon the windsock on top was limp. Five pilots went up just in case. Approaching the top we could see it was blowing in. By the time we got our gliders off, it was blowing down again. Phill set the rules. Everybody had to set up. That way the first to loose heart a...

last Sunday blowin down.

Ken Andrews and I were talking about the Falcon League doing a low (respectively) glide to West Towers. My purpose in hiking to the “Y was to survey the glide. Using Google Earth I picked out a possible trail heading out the north end of the catch basin behind Oliveview. However, it was a wet s...

return to flying

Not to many people in the lz Saturday. Chippy was there early saying it was going to be a 7,000 ft day. I was planing on a late flight so drove for Emily early on. Took the last truck with Fred and obligated to help one of Andy’s solos off the hill. I launched next to last in my single surface. No...

Day 7: Today’s task was a triangle to the south. A 14 mile leg south east to a point near a 2,000 foot mountain, then a 12 mile leg southwest to another point near a 2,000 foot mountain, then a 20 mile leg north to Francisco Grande motel. The task committee added an early start and a late start fo...

Day 6: It was predicted hotter with better lift. Same early inversion pattern breaking around 2pm. The course was a basic triangle with a little jog to the north shortly after the second turn point. Ken and Greg were toward the back of the ordered start so they opted to take the early launch window....

Day 5: Task 5 was 28k to the south, ten to the north east, 25k to a big circle north of the motel, then a 6k leg to goal. It took me four days to figure out I could set the truck GPS to kilometers. I no longer had to do the math in my head! Every day they swap around the ordered start. I haven’t b...

Day 4: They changed the launch plan again. They decided that the 10 early launch slots should really help those disadvantaged by being last in line. So they started at the end and gave the opportunity to those that wanted. If a pilot accepted he, had to take it. If he later changed his mind, he woul...
