My work schedule next week would allow me to be at the LZ at 4:00.
Anyone planning on going up between 4-5 next week, weekdays?

One thing that maybe I could have done, was take advantage of my gliders best feature, sinking. Although we were about at the same height, and the high performance glider was already in an approach, I could have aggresively dove or done one sharp 360 to land at the begginer area, deppending on condi...

July 4th, 2006 Lucky 13, 29th birthday
July 4th is my birthday, and I'd like to celebrate it at the LZ. I know that a lot of people will be at hurricane, but it would be cool to have a cookout or something. If any one wants to help organize a 4th of July barbeque, that would be great. I want a hot girl stripper to jump out of a cake. A b...

breaking 3 arms?
Some of you are probably wondering tonight, "how could you land at the island and break 3 arms?" To tell you the truth, I have absolutely no idea, except to say that if you hit the ground hard enough, maybe you could send some sort of shock wave into the crowd. Otherwise, it would have to ...

RLF Spot Landing on the Island.
I know that most people who attempt this break at least two or three arms, but with my expert experience, there's little chance of even the smallest whack. Long story short, I sank out like a rock, in my falcon 0, started to panic, and headed straight for the LZ. I was low enough to the ground to se...

Cloud spit
You name it... Another thing that's dangerous about cloudsuck that most people don't realize... You can also get spit out of a cloud, (cloud spit), and it's not neccessarily going to be the same cloud, you might get sucked up into one over Kagel, and get spit out of one way out in the middle of nowh...

One idea I had was filling the pipe with red die that's really hard to get off, and when they cut it, several gallons, maybe pressurized, sprays out. It would mark them and they'd inevitably get some on their car. I also like the spinning core idea, that would make it really frustrating to cut. I'll...

Getting sucked up into a cloud...

A funny thing happened a while back, a group of people from work went to go eat Chinese food, and I was telling the story about the midair. I had just finished the story as they were passing around the fortune cookies. Everyone looked at me as I was opening my fortune cookie, but when I opened it, t...

from pilot 2
I was pilot 2 in the collision. Most of you will never be in a midair, but at some level, you are probably curious what it's like to have a midair. You don't want one. That was the closest I've ever been to crapping my pants. Except for that time in Mexico when I accidently drank the water, but that...

Hang Gliding Safety Movie this year
I work in the special effects industry, and have made some comical "obscene" safety movies before. I'd like to make a "Hang Gliding Safety" instructional film that's funny. A dozen short scenes would be good. I already have some good connections in the industry, and people who wa...

I went there also, that was some interesting weather, but really pretty. I'm glad I went. Some strange turbulence and air pockets, and the fighter jet 150 feet off the groung was cool too. I'm glad I didn't have a midair with that! Wow! Garlock is a scenic neat dessert location if you've never been ...
