I have looked at cutter's call nearly everyday since I left for Australia back in September of 2006 and it do not look like there have been more than 10 flyable days at kagel. Wasn't that bad... I flew about 250 Hrs last year alone. Locally and recreationally only, but that's irrelevant. Good flyin...

Gliders on Google Earth

Heeey, look what I found! Google Earth must have updated Ave S area pics, because when I was marking the launch a while ago, there were no gliders. Yesterday I was surprised to see the new look. Cool! Can you find your glider? (Click to enlarge) http://thumb11.webshots.net/t/59/59/7/89/20/2832789200...

Tuesday (9-th), when we went up, it was down again. On the way up we saw couple of vehicles (Sheriff's and a Ranger) leaving the setup area. Don't know if it had anything to do with the windsock or vandalizm in general on the top we are witnessing recently again. But I was able to put the pole back ...

I just submitted my vote in the poll for repairing the existing gazebo. It doesn’t need “just a little repair though, but considering the budget, resources and uncertainties of new projects it is more reasonable to fix it up to better serve its function. I came to this conclusion only today, ...

Sunday landings

Sunday winds turned W-N/W and switchy in the LZ. Don't know who was filming, but came across it today on YouTube;

Two good days in a row

Both Sunday and Monday we had rare for this time of the year good conditions. Pilots got 7-8k and flew to Lukens and West Towers and in between. Dave Cutter almost made it to Mt. Wilson (again!).

Yosemite video

O.K. folks, my Yosemite Video is in OZ Report Video Library. http://www.ozreportradio.com/video?VrezhYosemite.avi. They named it Vrezh Yosemite :) You'll see 2 links, leading to 10 Meg and 63 Meg versions. The difference of course is quality. I apologize for a dead link at Chip's site; he got hacked...

Dahlsten Cup Radio

I installed a switch on my helmet recently, because I couldn't take it any longer than a few minutes.
I forced myself to listen to the whole recording. Gee, it's too sad to be funny. Makes me think we need a radio director in the board... :oops:
Thanks, Chip.

Pissed off

George writes: "However, several other pilots didn't know the rule, and decided to land". I am the "several" pilot and I know the rule. One would exercise common sense and at least stay east of the dam during that fire near 14 freeway, knowing, they might need to get water from t...
