Jim, Great idea for the name. I cannot think of a better one. The Dahlsten's were the best neighbors this club ever had and this is a great way to honor their name. Although Carl passed away many years ago, Mary is still with us and continues to support the club. I would love to be there when she is...

West record (as far as I know) is 55 miles to Lake Casitas in the Ojai Valley. That flight was made by 3 people that stayed in a tight group: Rob BEERgis (me), Ron Wiener, and Andy PriceCheck. Anyone gone further west? Step up and declare yourself!

I want a place to get out of the wind and rain and initially I was thinking the gazebo could be rebuilt with that in mind. I voted to do both. However using the existing space b...

As to Bud sponsoring anything to do with hang gliding - FORGET IT. They are too conservative. We have a better chance with Miller. Which is to say, not much. Not enough noise (loud engines) in this sport - not enough interest - not enough spectatorship. Oh yeah, lets not forget to mention that the s...

Hey, what happened to the original topic of "Adventure Passes"? I would like to bring this discussion back on track. Ken, I also like option number 3. Mentoring or "sponsoring" is the only practical option. I for one am willing to share information with anyone who asks. I'm sure ...

Lukens launch

Not much "homework" needed to describe the condition at Mt Lukens since I have ridden to the top many times as well as flying there from Kagel even more times. The access road is located behind a fire station about 5 miles up Angeles Crest Hwy. There is a large locked gate. The road is in ...
