Terminal velocity, being a function of drag, increases in thinner air. If he was high enough he could break the sound barrier before falling into the denser air which would slow him down. Awesome at any speed. Just think about how wild it is for a terrestrial mammal to figure out a way to get into space just so he can fall faster, yet we can't figure out how to spend less than we make. Maybe these are related obsessions.
