Flying La Salina on the 15th of July

Post by Steve90266 »

I'm going down to the Ensenada orphanage on Saturday morning, the 14th of July. If anyone would like to make any donations of clothing, food or the like, please let me know and I'll get the stuff down there.

There will be a beach party for the kids on Saturday. My plan is to stay at the La Fonda Hotel on Saturday night, then fly the La Salina ridge on Sunday. I would welcome any other pilots to join me.

You can read about the orphanage here:

Friend,

Can you do me the favor of not going on fun trips that I would have totally gone on until my arm is better.

Thanks

I guess that means I'll have to postpone the trip I'm going on next Saturday, that includes Jean Ridge, Vegas, flying Mingus Mtn, Sedona, then Sandia Peak, Villa Grove, CO, Telluride, then Zion.

Pat will just have to understand.

Question: How is playing a guitar like driving a car?
Hint: tragic video June 17
Answer: Both can be done with a broken arm.

Extra points question:
What is the derivation of the term spoilsport?
:D
eat right, exercise, die anyway!

Hey Steve,
I was planning on going to Point of the Mountain this weekend but the locals say it's going to be blown out so I'm pushing it back a week. Were you planning on going the weekend of June 30th? I'm planning on heading up that way, so if you wanna fly, lemme know because I'm probably going to plan on leaving next Thursday evening and stop in Vegas, and then head up to Point of the Mountain on Friday 'till Monday.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike,

I'll be heading to Vegas on Friday the 30th, at about noon, so should be there by 6PM. From Vegas, we're heading south and east to Mingus Mtn, Arizona. POM is great, but we did that trip a couple of years ago so we thought we'd change it up. If you wanted to fly Jean Ridge in Vegas on Friday afternoon, maybe we could hook it up with some pilots out there. The late afternoon seems to work pretty good over there. We'd have to leave LA by around 10 to make it out there in time to fly the glass off.

Steve, and team,

Go to Villa Grove during the big festival if you can. I'm trying to work on a way to make it there just to enjoy the scene.

Skillz brother,

W.R. and I are trying to fly out there in a piper.

We will meet the crew who is driving out. Skills if you can make it. There will be a brewery and lots of flying. ALso you will have me as an expert driver. 100 mile flights to NM are common.
