New topic suggestion

Post by Vrezh »

Couple of weeks ago I posted this where it belongs-Support and Help

Desk.
We have a thread in this forum, called "Amazing Flights".

Amazing flights is fine.

But it is what it is.

There is a need for a more casual place to tell about casual flights.

I'd suggest "Pilots Reports", like Crestline Forum has it.

It's a natural question-"did anyone fly, how was it?" So pilots, who flew

might share with others, who didn't.

It would keep everyone up to date about conditions and also would be

informative in terms of how the forecasts materialize.

What the admin thinks?
I don't know who maintains this site, thank you, whoever you are (Burgis

said it's Chipy and he would talk to him), so I re-posted it here, because

this thread has the most traffic.

I don't think it's too much hassle to add a thread and it's totally worth it.

No?

Good idea Vrezh.
On the Santa Barbara club forum it's simply called: Flight Discussion http://scpa.info/bb/forum/
Crestline calls it: Pilot Reports http://www.crestlinesoaring.org/forums/css_pilots_forum
Ohio calls it: Flight Reports http://www.ohioflyers.org/forums.php?
Paragliding Forum calls it: Flights, XC and records http://www.paraglidingforum.com/index.php

...or just rename Amazing Flights as Flight Discussion. That covers it all.

Done. Now just don't go complaining that there's no place to stretch the truth a little about amazing flights!

Hey! What happened to Amazing Flights? I can't find it anywhere on the page. I so looked forward to seeing everyone's videos of the spectacular flight days they had while I was working.

Thanks, Ken, for housekeeping on the sections that I asked be removed for lack of use.

And an annual reminder: For the newbies who want to be known (or the oldies that aren't hiding from something), I still take care of the Member Photos link where you'll find a rogues gallery of our club. All I need is your mug shot and a little information. I can make up the rest.

My apologies for not posting a video from Monday's ascent into the stratosphere but I was having difficulty finding a soundtrack with enough laughter and synonyms for 'jealous'. I'll keep working on it.

It's good to know that sarcasm isn't a lost art. I believed it driven to extinction by political correctness.
