Demo Days event at Sonora Wings is scheduled for January 19th through 21st. Winter time always brings us lots of north (blowing down) winds so we thought why not escape that and get some mid-winter aerotowing practice and demo some crispy new gliders. It will also be a good time for Southern California mountain pilots to get their tow rating as well as just show our support to Sonora Wing's new owners.

This would be a great opportunity for California pilots to get their aerotow ratings. We've always lamented the fact that many California pilots don't have this rating which prevents them from coming to the Santa Cruz Flats Race in Casa Grande, Arizona in September. This competition is the closest to California national-level competition and should draw many California pilots. They just are spoiled by having many slope launch sights.

No need to wait until April and then travel all the way to Florida for some great soaring opportunities in good weather. Head over to your neighboring state and get your rating.
