I would rather make pictue in picture then rewind back and forth.

PS: I also bought HD Hero :) I'll try it when weather will get better.

Thanks Dizzy. I was hoping for some feedback. I personally like flipping back and forth but I need to know what works for the most viewers.

BTW - I have had excellent results with the Sandisk Ultra II 16GB and 32GB cards. I'm looking forward to watching your flight highlights in high res.

Good one! I'm afraid I'll overshoot and always try to land North of the cone. Overshooting scares the bejeezus out of me. One time I did a whip stall to avoid landing on the BBQ. Then there's the overshoot I did in the Big T Wash that cost me a down tube and some repair bills on my carbon base tube. Both of my golf course landings a few weeks ago were actually well short of where I was thinking I'd set down.

Yup, either that or a 'fast fade' between the fields of view.

I had planned on doing a fast cross fade between each cut and forgot about it in my haste to do other things. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to try it and see how it plays.

Try moving forward ,Keep the action coming with quick camera angle shifts.I found myself expecting a landing only to be taken back again and again.just a thought.

Here are two different versions of moving forward:

1 - Frame-in-frame
2 - Back and forth w/ dissolves

Which technique is more effective in conveying the experience of the landing?
I can always combine the 2 as well.

I really like the picture in picture. I can see the piltos view and also see the imputs from the pilot that casued the turn. Plus I can focus on any part of the landing on any view with Pic N Pic. These videos are great and I wish they were available 6 months ago.

On another note. My dad bought me a camera he saw on sale so I now have something I can use. It's a Kodak Zi6 which will work good for 2D but i still have plans for 3D in the future. However with the LZ closed, I'd be happy to just fly. In you video I noticed how thin the LZ repair looked and I was thinking no way can I be that accurate...

Keep it up Jonathon,

Marc

All of the perspectives are good, the last one is best for the non MTV crowd. You can almost get the feel of the glider. An idea is to put a camera on your vario/gps/air speed. What was that special camera (imax?) called that had 8 or so cameras aimed to cover 360 degrees and played in a special round theater.
