Beautiful day

[Vrezh]

It was, indeed.
Tuesday, Oct 23. Most models were in agreement, it was going to be good.
Jonathan and I were about to drive up, when Phil showed up. Didn't take too long to twist his arm, I was about to open my mouth to ask him, when he said why not. So we quickly loaded him up and left.
Fred was ready, when we got there, he took off shortly with his victim, I mean tandem, then Double D awkwardly launched into beautiful cumi strewn sky.
It kinda looked on the strong side, but when I took off, I was surprised how smooth and nice the air was.
I'd say we almost missed the good part, because the clouds were already
dissipating, the streets were already way north of the range.
Still we got to fly couple of hours, thermals were seldom, but nice and fat, fed by ridge lift near the ridge tops, winds moderate, S-SW11-17, I got to 5.5k couple of times, the temps were about 60F, quite bearable.
Winter flying is near.
