Upcoming Weather & RLF Clinics

Post by Lynn McLaughlin »

(This is a copy of the same post in the Comp Discussion Section)

Here's something to work toward and look forward to...

We are adding a new class to our annual Spring Air Comp. In addition to the existing Sport and Open Class' we're including a class for Hang 2's. Jeff Chipman will post details as we get closer to the event (usually held between mid-April and early May). Meantime, keep an eye on this section for comp related news and upcoming clinics:

Jan 10th 10am - 11am - Intro to Flytec 5030 & 6030
(posted under separate subject)

Feb 7th 10am - 11:30am - Hungary Joe's Weather Clinic

Mar 7 & 8 - RLF Clinic

Soon we fly!

In for Weather and RLF, but didn't he change the time on the Weather Clinic to 8:30 am?

THIS DUDE'S a WIZARD! Contrary to every weather report I saw today, Hungary Joe announced that it was flyable and would be blowing in. SURE ENOUGH, it WAS! WHile everyone else spent a flyable Sunday doing whatever, Jay and I flew, and it got better as the day went on--until it didn't, and blew down. Take ADVANTAGE of this man's WEATHER and RLF clinics! i've done both already, and I'm lining up for seconds, or thirds.. Bring your laptop!

There was quite a bit of discussion yesterday about this being at 10, not at 8:30. What time is it REALLY going to be?

Glad you asked! HJoe changed the starting time to 8:30am because, based on his experience, he wants to have ample time to address all questions. Plus, we want to be wrapped up in time to fly.

Additionally, I was recently reminded that we SUGGEST and encourage a $15 donation. Again, any one can attend and the donations is suggested only...

Remember to bring a laptop or device that connects to the internet.

Let me know if that are any other questions.

See you this Saturday!

Several people thought it was changed FROM 8:30 TO a later time. Unfortunately, I don't remember who it was that was thinking that, but I hope they read the forum.

Happy to see the RLF interest! I will post RLF clinic details, under a separate Subject header, in the next few days.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning for the Weather Clinic. We start promptly at 830am. You may want to bring a paper/pen for notes. And, remember to bring a laptop or device to access the internet.
