Weather Clinic Set for Saturday April 7th

Post by Joseph »

Come one come all to the weather clinic event of the year. Yes that's right Joe Szalia, aka Hungary Joe will be putting all those questions to rest on how to figure out whether you should stay home and do some knitting or come out and fly. David Cutter says this about Hungary Joe, "Without a doubt Hungary Joe is the guy who knows the weather hands down. Without him, I would be nothing and those forecasts I put up on the website would be all wrong."

So there you have it. Be there!

Is there a rain date for the weather clinic?

Rain date? I thought Hungary Joe would put the fix in, and we'd KNOW that there wasn't going to be rain on that date....

What time?
Is it being held in the LZ and if not, where?
How long does it last?

BTW, this is a great clinic! I learned a lot from Joe and continue to use what he taught us.

Just learning how to read clouds can save your life :o

Soon we fly.

Boy, it sure would be swell if someone would videotape the class. It would be good reference material--available for a low low price of...

Joe? Jeff?

I'd buy one. I will be out of town that week, so cannot attend, but would sure be willing to buy a video of the class...

It is important to let Joe know you're coming and Agenda

Post by Joseph »

Hungary Joe has asked that if you are intending to come to the class that you call him 661-799-7349.

Alternatively, if you are planning to come please post a reply to this thread.

IF WE DON'T GET ENOUGH RESPONSES THE CLINIC WILL NOT BE HELD.

------------------- THE CLINIC STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:30AM --------------
Agenda: I spent some time with Joseph and he provided some information on what will be covered. The class is a beginning level class on weather. It will cover both broad weather anaylsis and micro-weather analysis for the Kagel area. I had some discussion about an advanced clinic that will build on the base developed in this clinic.

Joseph said he would cover in an understandable way the topics in Pagan's book on weather. A sound grasp of these topics will be knowledge that you can take with you where ever you fly not just Kagel. The souces of information used to for a micro forecast of the Kagel area will be covered at a higher level.

Hope to see you all there!

Didn't know/realize that a response was necessary.
