Sunday (and a couple Saturday) landings

Post by TomS »

It starts with "that's Jim Thompson crazy low", ends with Mallory's crowd pleaser, in between are two guys in droge, the prez using most of the LZ, happy dogs, and some interesting LZ commentary. I left one landing in just to hear Hungary Joe's "musings" on Rome.

For the record, the low-approach imposter was Ken Mannat, not me.

I think the "Jim Thompson low" was an adjective, not a noun. Actually make that an adverb as Jim Thompson is modifying the adjective, low.

An adverb modifies a verb and usually ends in ly, as in, "Greg takes everything literally."

Possibly an incomplete analysis to a seemingly significant event.

The pilot may have looked low, but maintained a steady course, while retaining plenty of energy.

Obviously the spot he landed is proof in the pudding.

Nice two-step landing!

An adverb also modifies an adjective (just for the record). As in "OMG we are hard up for stuff on this forum. Next we'll be doing something really stupid like diagramming sentences."

You'd be correct... Forgive me for not giving you enough credit for your understanding of language. It's just that, well... Never mind, Mr. President.
