This is one of the best flying vacations on the planet, if you like great thermal soaring every day, with climbs to over 10,000 ft., large landing areas, xc flights and training and almost everything done for you. Rudy Gotes runs a first-class operation and if you're a 30 or 40 hr pilot wishing to advance to more aggressive flying, or an advanced pilot looking for an really great vacation flying experience, this is the time and place. The first week in March is when the conditions begin the move towards strong mid-day thermals, yet the late afternoon flights are marvelously smooth and buoyant.

I took groups of very advanced hang 2's, 3, and 4's down there the past two years and without exception, everyone had a ball. I don't know how many more years Windsports will be sponsoring this trip, so this really is a good year to go down there with lots of neat Sylmar pilots.

It's really cool to have quality equipment, spectacular scenery, gliders set up and broken down for you, and carte blanche transportation and guide services, as well as solo and tandem instruction included for those who want it.

When you get back, please let me know what you think.

Cheers,
