Let's fly Mingus!

Post by suesen » Wed May 20, 2020 9:04 am

Hi All,
Join us on a trip to fly Mingus mountain in Arizona from June 5th to June 8th =D There is a wonderful campsite on launch which can accommodate a ton of pilots :) Arizona has more open facilities than California so it makes for an excellent escape! As a bonus we will try to fly an incredible lava cone outside of flagstaff (a geologic structure created by volcanic activity)
Who's in?!

Hey Sue, thanks for organizing this. Pat and I are IN like Flynn! Looking forward to flying with you! I'll coordinate with Jay regarding flying the cinder cone outside Flagstaff. It's only a 2 hr drive from the Mingus campground, so easily within reach!

BTW - bring your O2 kit, just in case. When it's working, it's not uncommon to climb up past 14K and go XC.

So were the conditions as expected, better or worse? Probably not better or Steve would be talking about it.
