*This aerial photo shows the landing zone (Sylmar Flight Park) and surrounding areas. Green areas are the landing zones (LZ). The rectangular area (the wash) is for H/P 2 & 3, while the triangle area (upper LZ) is restricted to H/P 4 pilots only. The orange area is the housing development Santiago Estates. The homeowners don’t mind pilots flying over their homes however they are the only ones. Flying over other residential areas is strictly prohibited. The purple area is Sylmar Independent Baseball League (SIBL). They are our direct neighbors but no one should fly over their ball fields while games are in session. The red area is El Cariso park and golf course and the blue area is Mission College. |
