Re: RASP Update

Vrezh: Thank you for the feedback. Can you tell whether the under call is in the W* fpm up; or the calculated maximum altitude? I can adjust the sink rate to produce a higher maximum altitude fairly easily. But the W* forecast is baked into the modeling :-( This was a pretty major upgrade, moving up...

RASP Viewer Update

Major Upgrade to the RASP model viewer. As some of you may know, GoogleMaps shifted to a paid service about a year ago. More recently they required a version upgrade. If you’ve been trying to use the RASP maps it’s been pretty ugly with a “development purposes only” banner. These hot days have been ...

Bob, Bob, Bob

Bob, Bob, Bob: I see what you did there... First you claim not to know the reason for USHPA not renewing the Hawks, then when you were caught arguing against the reason, you demanded proof of a letter. Nice bait and switch. But, once again it only widens the gap in your credibility. Not only do you ...

Bob, Bob, Bob

Bob, Bob, Bob: There you go again, the credibility gap continues to widen.... I told you I wouldn't take new questions as you still hadn't admitted your initial theory (in this very same thread) was wrong. That after two of two of the key points were demonstrated to be incorrect. When the facts don'...

Can't convivce a rock

Bob: Two of your points were proven incorrect several pages ago. The scientific method requires you to update your theory when the facts do not fit. It makes no sense to answer new questions, or continue to use up electrons, when the other party cannot, or will not, see the evidence before them. Let...

Pick & Choose..

Bob: Here was your (proven incorrect) conclusion from the same post: "So USHPA didn't step in to fix a problem. They stepped in to retaliate against Air California Adventure because USHPA wasn't getting a cut of their joy ride money any more. That's what USHPA does. They don't fix problems, but...

Why No One Answers Bob

Bob:

Interesting post.

You started with a premise that was proven wrong. Then attempted to divert attention with this new set of questions. Please stay on topic and correct your original post before moving on.

Thank you,

Alan

Seriously??

Bob: Now you are just making things up out of thin air. A "secret agreement"?? Seriously? Let's face some facts here. You were proven wrong about money being the trigger. You were proven wrong about the suspension even existing, much less being an issue. Your theory lacks any foundation so...

Wow

So Bob starts out with one assertion (see first post) and when that is demonstrated to be incorrect he moves on to an entirely different set of questions without even acknowledging his initial error. Then, (and this is the part that is truly amazing) he accuses the respondent (me in this case) of ch...

Where's Bob's Post?

Bob: So where is the 'sorry I was wrong' post? I (and probably everyone else) would love to see the post from you that apologizes for ascribing a monetary motive to USHPA's recent actions. Perhaps something simple: "USPHA, I was wrong. We've had disagreements in the past, but this time you are ...

Please read the facts

Bob:

The $4 rebate goes back to the PASA school which initially bought the 30 day membership for $6.

There are no 'hats'. Net cost to the person paying the money is $2.

More facts

Bob: I'll set you straight again on the 30 day waivers: - They had been $5 for many years, then they went to $8 last year as part of the increases needed to cover insurance costs; - On Aug 9 they were reduced to $6 retroactively to December 1, 2015; - In addition, PASA schools receive a $4 rebate wh...

Just the facts

Let's see, USHPA makes $2 from a 30 day membership issued by a PASA school. That probably just covers the handling cost. Sorry, facts don't fit the theory. Perhaps USHPA just needed to put some space between itself and an organization that was working outside its regulation. You know, exactly like M...

Sorry

Sorry Bob B. Every sport has its gadflies http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gadfly and ours is particularly annoying and occasionally hazardous to the sport. What About Bob?

Once Bob tried to work for the good of pilots. Few traces of that Bob remain as he has been consumed by his vendetta against Torrey. We don't even have to look outside this posting string to see how he mis-represents the facts to suit his purposes. From Bob's post above: "I know because I was a...

Not again :-(

Bob: You've got me! Saying "USHPA Site Insurance is available to any chapter..." was not fully correct. I should have said "USHPA Site Insurance is available to any chapter that has a role in actively managing the site". Now if you (Bob) want to argue about Torrey or USHPA or the...

USHPA Site Insurance

Loren:

USHPA Site Insurance is available to any chapter (like SHGA) but not for commercial operations (like schools). I don't know if that is any help in this situation, but it is out there.
