Didn't this camera drop off your glider mid-flight? I didn't know you found it.

Are you selling off all your equipment? I'm still waiting for the special pricing on your Porsche.

Steve,
You got the -Martian part correct but I've never seen an H-4 at Sylmar move that way (or at least none that would ever admit to it).

Skygeek rule part 4: Rigid wing pilots under the age of 60 and bearing the first name "Sebastian" (due to experiencing little or no excercise when flying and little thought of their fellow pilots for adding insult to injury) must always effectively (no Caltrans crew standing about) wield a...

Has anyone else noticed that the phone gets answered pretty quickly in the morning but that after around 3PM it gets ignored? Anyway, shunning land-out calls aside, the cell connectivity is still too tenuous to depend on and one can never be sure that a specific user's phone is on or even present in...

I think I'll miss your pseudonym, Alex. I translated schluchten kacker from German and it sort of meant that you were "one who sh_ _s in gorges."
Sounds plausible given our sport, the terrain and the turbulence.

Welcome back Mike! I thought you were out for good. Glad to hear that isn't the case. When you finally make your appearance at Kagel, would you mind wearing your bunny costume so we can pick you out of the crowd of newbies? (Lawndart, specifically, asked; something about an event in his childhood...)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If all goes as planned, the club must provide assistance beginning Tuesday morning through the week. Two sets of unskilled hands have been requested by Steve Nootenboom to help with rebar bending and tying. It doesn't have to be the same people everyday or even the entire day but there must be 2 at ...

Nike Wrap-around Sunglasses

I found these on the picninc table South of El Barrio on Saturday. They may belong to the non-flying couple using the table most of the afternoon, in case anyone knows who they were. Reclaim from the glove compartment of the Bronco.

Please note, Tom, that Jonathan appears to have chosen Mt. Lukens for his faux backdrop. I mean, it's not as if half the Kagel pilots flying Saturday made it there... Oh, well, yes, I guess they did.
Never mind.

CONGRATULATIONS!

CONGRATULATIONS! Four presidents ago, the club set out to replace the aging gazebo. I knew it would be difficult but I never thought it would take five years to get started. Through the efforts of many dedicated members, supportive Boards of Directors and helpful people in our local government, we a...

What are you talking about, Janyce? Jonny does document every flight but he prefers to be called Jonathan , in case you didn't know. (actually, he's rather touchy about it). And, Janyce, I think you've been away from me too long; your sarcasmometer needs calibration. Of course, Joe was ribbing Jonny...

Oscar quit because you offended him by abusing his favorite emoticons. Now, back to the thread (so I can't be accused of jacking it): Why, with all your fine equipment and your extensive experience, don't you fly with a better harness, one that doesn't rival a black widow's web? The Moyes Matrix is ...

Glad you asked, Christian. Two aircraft approaching head-on are always supposed to veer right. And for those who wonder why Moyes battens and aircraft lights are green on the right, red on the left, if approaching another craft in the dark and the green is on the right, you are going in the same dir...

CANCELED

Mike is resting quietly and comfortably at home after emergency surgery for a detached retina. He isn't supposed to move about except for follow-up visits. Silent well wishes only; he isn't coming to the phone.

The party is a no-go unless someone suggests a change of venue.
